With several posts on my blog, Facebook, instagram, twitter and everything that comes with it I think have established that Hamburg is a great place to be in my opinion. It is a fact, however, that rainy, windy weather usually characterizes this nice city. So when summer finally arrives in Hamburg you feel like traveling the world, as there are endless things to discover. Dipped in sunshine Hamburg becomes a whole new city and summer really brings out the best in all the beautiful parks and green spaces, the river and the lakes the city has to offer. Yesterday I went to discover a little bit of the botanical garden. As it was gigantic, I will have to do a follow-up as soon as I’ve had time to see the rest. But for now: a photo essay of the botanical garden in Hamburg.

Small blooming islands connected by bridges lead to the different themes of the botanic garden, that is divided into areas and plants geographically.

Many people come here to enjoy sun, nature and calm.
